Big things are on the horizon for Quincy! First up, we’re thrilled to see progress at 311 Maine Street, where plans for The Wellness Tower are officially moving forward. This state-of-the-art destination will bring a full range of holistic health, fitness, and community amenities under one roof, from sauna therapy and cold plunges to a dedicated yoga studio, a gym, IV therapy, and more. Plus, a new coffee shop staffed by athletes through the Dancer Love Foundation and modern co-working spaces for local professionals will help make this spot a true community hub.

Meanwhile, over at 48th and Broadway, excitement is building for a Pizza Ranch franchise that’s set to open in the former County Market location. When it’s complete, this will be one of the largest Pizza Ranch locations in the region, with seating for 300 guests, a massive 15,000 square feet of space, and a 106-player FunZone Arcade for families to enjoy. Not only will it offer a great new dining experience, but it’s also expected to create 60–80 new local jobs.

These projects are just two examples of how Adams County continues to grow, invest, and create opportunities for our residents and businesses.

Stay tuned for more community updates. We can’t wait to watch these new spaces come to life!

The Water Sprite now on display! Renown 19th century artist and Quincyan, John Quidor’s painting returns to Quincy!

🎨✨ Now on Display at the John Wood Mansion! ✨🎨

Step into a chapter of American art history that’s been waiting nearly 200 years to return home...

We’re thrilled to announce that The Water Sprite—a hauntingly beautiful landscape painted by the enigmatic 19th-century artist John Quidor, best known for The Headless Horseman Pursuing Ichabod Crane—is now officially on display at the historic John Wood Mansion in Quincy, IL.

This is more than just a painting—it’s a rediscovered masterpiece by an artist whose works hang in the Smithsonian and The MET. And now, thanks to tireless research and a deep love of Quincy’s hidden history, one of his rarest surviving works has found its way back to the very soil he once called home.

Don’t miss your chance to witness The Water Sprite—a mysterious and evocative piece from a painter who turned shadows and folklore into timeless art. 🖼️👁️‍🗨️
