Did You Know? Hook Lighthouse in Co. Wexford is second oldest operating lighthouse in the world.

The current tower was built in 1172 with limestone, Hook Lighthouse stands 115ft tall. In Irish, the lighthouse was originally called Rinn Dubháin, but a similar-sounding word, ‘duán,’ means fish hook, hence the English name.

It's always a special moment when we get to meet our clients in person, especially overseas. Our Ireland Operations team loves every opportunity to connect with our groups face to face.

Melita had the chance to introduce Lynsey, the newest member of Cara Group Travel, to one of our favorite coaches, Marty from Inter CTFC. Inter CTFC is in Derry this week competing in the Foyle Cup, which is making history as the largest tournament ever held.

This year's Foyle Cup has reached a record high, with 1,013 teams participating in its biggest tournament in its 34 year history. The six day event kicked off in Londonderry with an opening parade and will feature nearly 4,000 matches across more than 60 venues.
