Pro tip: Veterinary emergencies while boating are no fun. Also, hourly trips off the boat for urgent puppy bathroom needs in the midst of the year's biggest thunderstorm all night long doesn't make for the wittiest Instagram captions.

But, after a day of recuperation and a trip to the emergency vet (a 3 hour round trip--thanks to the parents for the surprise use of their car) we are happy to report that both .the.cav and are on the mend and are both much happier and healthier now.
