Everyone is invited!

We will be launching the Bermuda Cruise, doing a quick final documents walk through, doing a packing demo and some intentional mingling.

Coffee & Tea provided. Bring a snack to share or let your presence be your gift!

We post on four different platforms so driving folks to a single RSVP is not a big priority. The meeting is happening and the perfect number of people will be there : ) We generally have 25-35 people at any given in person meeting.

Join us for the "usual" agenda as we:

- share takeaways from our most recent getaways or trips
- highlight grassroots trips offered by Travel Sisters
- get updates about upcoming / new trips
- break into small groups based on trips OR
- stay in the main room for meet/greet time and Q&A with Angie
- small groups share feedback for Angie to actualize

Come for any or all parts!

We post on four different platforms so driving folks to a single RSVP isn't a huge priority - the meeting is happening and the number that shows up is the perfect amount : ) We generally have 15-30 people in any given Zoom meeting.

At Saturday's MeetUp, some folks said they did not get the Friday 5/22 email with the rain plan. A few weeks ago, we switched the "host" email for our website from [email protected] to [email protected]. Looks like some of you are now having Travel Sisters emails go into promotions or spam folders instead of your primary email inbox. It's an easy fix - just use the search bar to find an email from the new email address and star or like or indicate it is not spam. Then all future emails will go the the right place!

Here's the rain plan for tomorrow's in person meeting at Cary Downtown Park : )

Angie's putting on the galoshes, pink visor and the poncho, showing up, and seeing who else shows up and is game for a little adventure in a not so crowded park!

So, here’s the rain plan for any of my fellow adventurers: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15etRwKHsMcp8P6ZSpOION97Fc6oUFi9vbc4vtDZ4DUo/edit?usp=sharing

We will start in the dry market area so folks can grab a coffee and use the facilities, and we can introduce ourselves. Then we will plan our park visit based on immediate conditions. There are quite a few covered areas and lots to see in between. Puddle jumping is possible but not guaranteed : ) Some of us could decide to pull the plug and descend on Peck & Plume or Coffee Studio for brunch - you just never know until we gather together!

There are multiple parking options near the Park! There is an accessible parking deck located behind the Cary Regional Library for public use - free. Additionally, parking is available in the lot on Charlie Gaddy Lane, at labeled street parking, and at the Town Hall Deck. There are additional par...

Let's explore the beautiful downtown Cary park together! It has a dog park to watch, some yard games to play, a cafe, splash pad, a bar, beautiful gardens, and lots of nearby restaurants.

There's a huge white gazebo on the grounds (see event image) and we can all meet up there. We will mingle there until 9:45am and then start exploring. Angie will wear her hot pink visor for visibility.

Parking: Free parking is available nearby, including the parking deck behind the Cary Regional Library (113 Walnut St) and the Town Hall Parking Deck (121 Wilkinson Ave).

We post events on four different platforms so driving folks to a single RSVP is not a huge priority. The event is happening and the perfect number of people will come : ) We typically have 25-30 people at any given in person event! Hope to see you among them!

Global events could affect travel in the coming months and we need to make informed choices! Angie's been doing a deep dive into all things insurance related and can share new insights.

The link is emailed to all registered Travel Sisters (it's free! Go to www.travelsistersnetwork.com) and posted on our private MeetUp group titled Travel Sisters Network RDU.

All women are welcome (as the info is generally transferable to all travel), AND this Zoom will be focused on women enrolled in the Christmas Markets trip, Morocco or South Africa. We will see where things stand with trade and fuel realities, discuss how it MIGHT impact travel, and what actions we can take to mitigate risk. The day after the meeting, sisters enrolled in those three trips will complete a survey declaring if we want to move forward with the trip based on the information provided.

Hope to "see" you there!

Glasgow, Scotland hotel review: Glasgow Grosvenor hotel. Solid 4* hotel. Great location right next to free botanical garden- great way to pass time before check in. On a Main Street with lots of shopping and dining. Very close to Subway station which you can just use your bank card to use. Really good breakfast, bar, no fitness room. Rooms are pretty normal- not tiny but not large- no frills but all the necessities including hair dryer, tea pot/ coffee and soap/ shampoo/ conditioner.

Adare, Ireland hotel review! Name: The Dunraven Arms. We liked it! Solid 4* hotel. Lots of staff/ service oriented. Big rooms that are renovated, general areas and exterior a little worn. You can control heat but not air. Has a separate dressing / vanity area with sink AND a sink/ shower/ toilet area. Has a pool and fitness center that opens at 7 am on weekdays, maybe later on weekends? Great bar, garden area, sunroom area, “proper” dining with excellent food. Close to multiple bars, restaurants on Main Street, and there’s a river walk path nearby that is lovely.
