I renewed my passport WITHOUT leaving my home! And here’s how I did it.

1) I checked my expiration date, Nov. 2026 was mine, I have a international trip in October 2026 😅

2) I checked the federal requirements to renew online at the following GOVERNMENT SITE: https://travel.state.gov/en/passports/renew-replace/online.html

3) I took my “passport photo” in my hallway with bright lighting and a tripod, I made sure I didn’t cast a shadow. This is easier with a second person.

4) uploaded the photo into the system, if the picture doesn’t qualify, you will not be able to use the photo.

5) I selected the passport book and chose expedited shipping.

🚨YOU CANNOT TRAVEL WITH YOUR OLD PASSPORT, ONCE YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER🚨

6) I was informed my passport would arrive on or around October 10.

7) I ordered my passport on August 27 and I received my new passport in the mail on September 3, 2026

🚨This was MY experience with the online renewal process, I read the requirements and met them. Read the requirements for YOURSELF. Hopes this helps someone‼️
