But there are also some unique challenges that come with navigating a day at The Happiest Place on Earth with your little one. Planning ahead and preparing in advance for your visit can make a huge difference – as well as having a Magic Lamp Vacations Travel Genie to advise you and share some essential tips with you!

Staying at a Disney resort offers several kid-friendly perks like Early Theme Park Entry so you and your young early-riser can get a head-start in the theme parks. You can also easily slip back to your resort during the day for a refreshing swim or nap if everyone needs a break.

Waiting in attraction lines can be a challenge at any age, but it can be particularly trying for a family with little ones. Splurging on Lightning Lane Multi Passes or Single Passes gets you access to lines with shorter wait times. It is definitely worth it with a baby, especially since you won’t need to purchase Lightning Lanes for your tot because children under three get in for free!

Even if your child is too short for the attraction or simply doesn't want to ride, it doesn't mean the parents have to miss out. Where Rider Switch is available, one parent gets to enjoy the attraction and then switch with the parent who was waiting with the kid.

Exploring the park with a baby stroller is essential, and you definitely don’t want to lose track of it. Attach a helium balloon to or tie a colorful ribbon around the handle so you can easily pick it out of the sea of other strollers. And before you leave home, add your family name to a sign and laminate it, making your stroller easier to track down if you do lose it.

Okay, Disneyland just dropped their 2026 holiday details, and there are a few huge updates you need to know if you’re planning a trip between Nov 13 and Jan 6.

First off, Santa is moving! He won’t be in his usual spot—he’s heading to the Toontown Trolley Barn this year. Mickey and Minnie are also getting brand-new winter outfits, and Storytellers Cafe is adding two new holiday character meals (including a Pajama Party with Daisy that is going to sell out ridiculously fast).

Also, if you've been on the fence about staying on-property, set a reminder for Sept 22. Disney is dropping a hotel discount for up to 20% off 3+ night stays at the resort hotels for dates through mid-December.

Here’s the reality: the holiday season at Disneyland is pure magic, but it is also one of the most complex times of year to navigate. Between park reservations, dining drops at 6 AM, lighting sequences, and parade strategies, it’s remarkably easy to spend thousands of dollars and still feel like you spent half your trip waiting in lines.
