One of the biggest misconceptions about travel planning is that anyone can look up information online.

You can find reviews.
You can watch YouTube videos.

But here's what those things can't tell you.

They can't tell you what it's actually like sitting in the restaurant.

They can't tell you which dishes guests keep talking about long after the cruise is over.

What's your favorite place on a cruise ship? 🚢

For me?

It's not always the pool deck.

It's not the buffet.

And it's not even the shows.

Give me a heated lounger, a view of the ocean, and a little peace and quiet and I'm happy. 😌

One of the things I love about cruising is that every ship has its own hidden gems.

Some people love:
☀️ The adults-only solarium
🍹 A quiet bar with ocean views
🎸 Live music in Central Park
🍕 A late-night slice of pizza
🧘 The thermal spa

And that's exactly why I spend time exploring ships myself.

Because when my clients tell me:

"We want to relax."

If you're anything like us, you like to eat at Walt Disney World and that can mean buying and using a Disney Dining Plan to pre-pay for your meals. 🍽

Disney Dining Plans are an optional add-on to a Disney World Vacation Package. Because they're pre-purchased, all you have to do when you get to Disney World is head to a restaurant that accepts the Disney Dining Plan and you can use it!

There is a lot of misinformation out there about the Dining Plans though. Here are 5 commonly heard misconceptions and the facts:

🍗 "Dining Plans are available separately from vacation packages." - Nope. Dining plans can only be added to select packages that include a Disney Resort hotel stay.

🍗 "You can convert a quick service meal credit to three snack credits." - While this used to be true, this practice ended in 2024. Guests are required to use their snack credits and meal credits exclusively on those types of meals.

🍗 "You get two snack credits per night."- According to the Disney World website, inclusions for the Standard Disney Dining Plan are as follows: Everyone in the travel party will receive 1 Table-Service meal per night, 1 Quick-Service meal per night and 1 snack per night of their package stay, along with 1 Resort-refillable drink mug.

🍗 "You can't use the Dining Plans at lounges and bars." - For the first time, Disney World bars and lounges ARE accepting table service dining plan credits. In exchange for a table service credit, you’ll get an entree, drink, and dessert like you would at a table service spot. But, keep in mind that entree may be a smaller portion and there may not even be dessert on the menu, so choose your lounge wisely!

🍗 "If you use the Disney Dining Plan, you don't need to make reservations." - Important! This is NOT true! Many popular dining locations require reservations, so it's best to have our Travel Genies book ahead for you.
