The Rex Hospital Open is an official week-long event on the PGA TOUR's Korn Ferry Tour, held in North Raleigh. The Korn Ferry Tour features great golfers of tomorrow...and today (who just missed the cut!)

Sunday’s Final Round at the UNC Health Championship also marked our annual Service Appreciation Day—a tradition that honors those who serve and protect our community and our country.

We were proud to close out the tournament with a powerful ceremony recognizing current and former service members, including:

Our Story

The REX Hospital Open is a four day professional golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour (PGA TOUR). May 28-31, 2020 held at The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation, a McConnell Golf property in North Raleigh. The Korn Ferry Tour features *excellent* golf on the Path to the PGA Tour.

The Rex Open brings premiere golf and family-friendly entertainment to the Triangle each year. Over 30 years, The Rex Open has raised more than $8.4 million to support patients here in our community. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the expansion of neuroscience care and specialty services at UNC REX, supporting patients confronted with stroke, aneurysms, traumatic brain injury and other neurological diseases.

More than 450 volunteers make the Rex Open run smoothly. And, 100+ sponsors including the Carolina Hurricanes, First Citizens Bank, Gregory Poole Equipment Company and Coca Cola support the tournament’s charitable efforts.

First responders, Wake County Public School employees and active & retired military are provided complimentary admission.
