The business started small, concentrating primarily on South Africa, but has morphed into a concentration including all of Southern and East Africa. We have travelled and continue to travel throughout the area and strive to send all of our clients only to places that we have visited personally. The last day with the administrators group and Youth 4 Conservation comprised of a trip up Table Mountain. Two brave souls, David Maher, from Tahoe Expedition Academy, Truckee, California and Nora Moffat, The Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, Villanova, Pennsylvania took the bold effort to hike the Platteklip Gorge Hike to the top of 3,000 foot (1,000 meter) tall Table Mountain. The rest of our group of 10 took the easy way up via Cable Car. 😂

Clouded Leopard (𝘕𝘦𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘣𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘢). 🐆

In honour of World Clouded Leopard Day on August 4th, we’re spotlighting this elusive and mysterious wild cat, known for its stunning coat and secretive nature.

🌳 Clouded leopards are expert climbers, with flexible ankles and long tails that help them move effortlessly through dense forests in Southeast Asia.

🎨 Their name comes from the large, cloud-like markings on their fur, providing perfect camouflage in the forest canopy.

⚠️ With fewer than 10,000 individuals left in the wild, they are threatened by habitat loss, poaching, and the illegal wildlife trade—making conservation critical.

Tiger (𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘴). 🐅

In honour of World Tiger Day on July 29th, we’re celebrating the iconic tiger—one of the most powerful and endangered big cats on the planet.

🌏 Tigers once roamed across much of Asia, but today they occupy just a fraction of their historic range due to habitat loss, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict.

🎨 Each tiger’s stripe pattern is unique, like a fingerprint, and provides perfect camouflage in forest and grassland habitats.

🦷 As apex predators, tigers play a critical role in maintaining balanced ecosystems by keeping herbivore populations in check.

Let’s work together to protect these magnificent animals before it’s too late. 🧐
