Happy Ballad of Falling Dragons day! 🌕 🐉

The way I have been waiting for this book .a.parker.author

Did you know, this is the only series where I own multiple physical editions? I’m usually so reserved when it comes to buying alllll the copies (unless it’s on different mediums - because options), but for some reason I just can’t say no to these books.

I didn’t get to start reading during the day as planned - it was also a hair salon, errands, and work day. And my wedding anniversary, too! - so date night with the hubs takes priority. BUT I can’t wait to dive in tonight.

I’m so excited to start, but also nervous to. Rereading When the Moon Hatched was so much sadder the second time around knowing what I know, so I can’t even imagine what this book is going to do to me. But I know the pain will be beautifully written.

So maybe check in on your girl, yeah? 🥰

Congrats to Emily D - the winner of my giveaway. For this event I was giving away signed copies of Fate & Fury and Revenge & Ruin, the first two books in Bone Moon trilogy. 🌙

I can’t wait to read these books myself, along with Cursed in Love, her cozy paranormal romance!

I have officially started my When the Moon Hatched reread ahead of the release of Ballad of Falling Dragons!

This has been one of my favorite books and only a few chapters in I’m already right back there with the story enveloping my brain.

I’m doing an immersive reread with audio and eyeball reading 👀 this go around. Would you believe that I didn’t highlight a single thing the first time I read this?? That’s about to change but all I can think is that’s how into it I was.

When I say I had massive FOMO back in December when everyone was getting their Chapter One boxes… I mean it 😅

I couldn’t let another chapter pass me by, so I got my order in (just in the nick of time - thanks for the reminder).

And you know how it is in the book world… we preorder so many things that we forget what’s even coming. So when I pulled up to my house to see the Bookish Wine box on my stoop, I literally squealed with excitement.

Unboxing it felt like a magical moment.
The packaging? Perfection.
The artwork? Beautiful.
Everything inside is so thoughtfully designed and custom-fit to the wine and book - it just feels special.

I especially loved the little envelope full of extra goodies - recipes, notes, wine details… and even an audiobook copy with this one?!
author your book is stunning and I cannot wait to dive in 💜

I haven’t tasted the wine yet (saving it for a weekend with friends soon 🍷), but honestly… I already know I’m in.

Highly recommend if you love supporting indie authors and small businesses - this concept is such a perfect pairing.

Safe to say… I’ll be subscribing.

Admittedly, I’m weeks late on posting this. So much time has, in fact, passed, that I just went to yet another author event this week. Therefore a little combo post is in order!

Last month I had the pleasure of attending All Booked Up event with featuring along with & 📚

Since I picked up First-Timer Caller last summer, BK has become an auto-buy reader for me as I’ve been making my way through her catalog. It was so great to hear her speak about her writing process, her challenges, and talk about what’s next, alongside the other lovely authors.

It’s always fun to go to an event for one author you know and come away with three more you’re excited to read. And the icing on the cake was hanging all evening with and some of the Raleigh Book Bestie crew 🥰

And then this week .author also stopped by The Carolina Inn on her first ever book tour! I had to go back to see how many of Kate’s books I’ve read and realized it’s almost all of them 🤯

Her interview with was delightful and they got deep on a couple topics. And I loved chatting with Kate about travel at the end of the evening - any book set abroad makes my heart happy.

As of right now I’m almost finished reading BK’s And Now Back to You, and look forward to reading Kate’s The Paris Match oh so soon. 🥐
