Join us on our trip to Portugal in March 2027- it will be amazing!

We read thousands of posts before offering to travelled to Portugal next March. Here are some things we wanted to share before you go:)

• Yes, wear comfortable shoes. But make sure those shoes have some grip on the bottom. The streets of Lisbon are paved with small cobblestones and they are quite slick, even when dry. Get some “gription.”

Pack a rain jacket and umbrella-you’ll be glad you did!

• You cannot purchase Ibuprofen without a prescription. Take some…those hills do a number.

• Unless the shop brews, (which we only found once) Cafe Americano - espresso with hot water - is the closest you will come to a regular cup of coffee.

• If you use artificial sweetener, pack it.

• If you want ice at restaurants, you have to ask.

• Tipping is not expected. Waitstaff often does not come back to the table to check in or clear dishes. If they do, gratuity (10%) is nice. Of course, always do what you feel is appropriate.
