In a world that has been infected with the nonchalant attitude toward Jesus Christ, we must reaffirm our conviction and profession concerning Jesus Christ.
So much debate and controversy around who and what Jesus is and is not.
As a believer in the authenticity of the text of Scripture.
I have an unapologetic skepticism toward all the other texts that some point to as substantive authorities or as guiding statements, councils, confessions, and conferences.
How skeptical? I reject the idea that they have any value outside of understanding the historical view. Often, these have been and are used as litmus tests. While doubting, discounting, and, in some cases, disavowing actual words in scripture, they embrace, to the exclusion of scripture that offends their orthodoxy, statements that were hammered out in compromise for the purpose of unity, while at the same time demanding that others believe and profess them.
