You didn't drive all the way to Montana to see an empty field. Here's how to actually find the wildlife. 🐻🦌🐺
🌅 Dawn and dusk. Non-negotiable. That's when they move. Sleep in and you'll miss everything.
🔭 Scan the ridgelines. The most incredible sightings happen away from the road. Bring binoculars and use them.
🤫 Be still. Be quiet. The wilderness rewards patience. The people moving fast see nothing.
🗺️ Ask a local. Rangers, guides, the person behind the diner counter — they know where the grizzlies have been walking. Ask.
Grizzlies in Glacier. Bison herds in Yellowstone. Moose in the willows at sunrise. This stuff is real and it's out there — you just have to earn the view.

You're not just watching a geyser. You're standing on top of a supervolcano. 🌋
The magma chamber under Yellowstone spans roughly 40 miles wide. Every hiss of steam, every boiling hot spring, every Old Faithful eruption — that's 2 million years of pressure finding its way out.

Most people walk past it with a sandwich. Don't be most people.

Yellowstone rewards the ones who slow down, read the signs, and actually reckon with what they're standing on. It's not just a national park. It's one of the most geologically violent places on the planet — and it's breathtaking because of it.

The Summer you get into MOUNTAIN BIKING.

The trail doesn't care that you're new. Get on it anyway.
A few things that'll actually help:
Start on flow trails. Green-rated, wide, forgiving. Build confidence before you build scar tissue.
Eyes up, always. Your bike goes where you look. Stop staring at your front wheel.
Brake before corners, not in them. Slow in, fast out — the mantra that'll save you every time.
Get the right fit. A bike that fits right makes everything feel possible. Visit a local shop.
Ride with people who are better than you. Best coaching you'll ever get, and it's free.
Montana's trails will meet you where you are — and push you further than you expected. 🏔️

Hike. Bike. Raft. Ride. Do it all in Red Lodge before the fireworks even start.
The Beartooths are calling! Answer with gravel biking, whitewater that hits like a freight train (in a nice way), trails that go on forever, and a horseback ride through country so wild it'll reset your entire nervous system.
This is how you kick off your Fourth of July. Not with a lawn chair...with Montana dirt under your boots.

Hiking isn’t just about the views — it’s about keeping your energy up so you can enjoy every step. Here are some of our favorite Montana-ready trail snacks:

Trail mix with nuts + dried fruit – protein, healthy fats, and a little natural sugar for steady energy.

Nut butter packets – easy, portable, and perfect with an apple or banana.

Energy bars – choose ones with oats, nuts, and minimal added sugar.

Fresh fruit – apples, grapes, or oranges are refreshing and hydrating.

Jerky – a savory protein boost for longer hikes.

💡 Fuel tip: Snack before you’re hungry and sip water often. Small bites every 45–60 minutes keep energy levels steady and spirits high.

Your snack bag can make or break a hike — and the right fuel means you actually get to soak in the views instead of dragging up the trail.

Montana trails are stunning, but the mountains here can be a little… unpredictable. Weather can change fast. A few tips to make your hike safer and more enjoyable:

Layers are your friend – mornings can be chilly, afternoons warm, evenings crisp. Pack a light jacket you can tie around your waist.

Hydrate often – mountain air is dry and altitude can sneak up on you. Carry water and take sips regularly.

Respect wildlife – deer, elk, even bears may cross your path. Make noise while hiking, and give animals plenty of space.

Trail snacks matter – a mix of protein + carbs keeps energy up for those long Montana ridge walks.

Bonus: Take a moment to just look around. Montana trails reward those who slow down — a quiet river bend, a peek of wildflowers, or the way sunlight hits the mountains.

In Red Lodge, mornings stretch wide,
Mountains blush with the sun’s first light.
Rivers hum over smooth, cold stones,
And the wind carries stories of old.

Trails wind through pine and wildflower,
Each step a quiet discovery.
Bikes hum along dusty country roads,
Laughter echoes where the sky meets hills.

Evenings glow in golden haze,
Small-town charm tucked in every corner.
Red Lodge isn’t just a place you go —
Laughter echoes where the sky meets the hills.

Hike. Paddle. Bike. Repeat.

Montana Multisport is the kind of trip where your day moves with you. One moment you’re pedaling through quiet country roads, the next you’re wading into a cool river, then hiking through wildflower-covered hills.

It’s full days, tired muscles, laughter with the group, and that kind of satisfaction you only get from being fully outside.

Our sister partner, Zephyr Adventures, has a Montana Multisport Adventure perfect for you! DM us to learn more.

Headed for the trails in Montana’s Rocky Mountains? Don’t forget your trekking poles! Your knees will thank you later! 😉

Using poles isn’t just for steep climbs. They:
✨ Take pressure off your knees and hips on downhill sections
💪 Engage your upper body for a full-body workout
🪵 Help with balance on rocky, uneven trails
🌲 Keep you steady when crossing streams or loose gravel

Whether you’re tackling a high-alpine trail near Red Lodge or exploring Glacier’s rugged backcountry, hiking poles make the journey smoother, safer, and a little more fun.

Before Red Lodge became a mountain getaway, it was a coal-mining boomtown where saloons outnumbered churches and cowboys shared the streets with coal dust. In the late 1800s, it was said you could hear the rumble of wagons hauling ore all day, and laughter (and maybe a few bar fights) all night.

When the mines closed, the town didn’t fade. It reinvented itself. Today, Red Lodge still carries that frontier spirit: a little rugged, a little refined, and full of stories behind every old brick and swinging door.

Next time you’re strolling down Broadway, take a look at those historic buildings; you’re walking through a living piece of Montana’s Wild West. 🤠

High above the tree line, where the air is thin and the views go on forever, you might spot a few locals who truly own the mountains. 🐐

Mountain goats roam the rugged cliffs of Beartooth Pass like it’s their personal playground! Sure-footed, curious, and completely unfazed by the 10,000-foot drop-offs. If you’re lucky enough to see them, take a moment (and a deep breath!) to appreciate just how wild and untamed this part of Montana really is.
