Fire mangers lifted all local fire restrictions on the Carson National Forest this morning due to sustained monsoonal moisture, increased humidity, high public compliance and low fire danger across the forest since last week.

National permanent prohibitions, such as with fireworks, remain in effect and can be found at https://www.fs.usda.gov/r03/carson/alerts/current-fire-restrictions-and-related-prohibitions.

With increased monsoonal activity, lightning-caused fires are expected to occur, a couple which happened over the last week. Firefighters easily controlled them despite being located in areas of continuous fuels.
