🔥 Chaos on United Flight 2127 — Engine Fire, Emergency Landing at LAX… and Passengers Still Grabbed Their Bags

When Flight 2127’s -bound suffered a left engine fire just after takeoff, the crew had seconds to make life-or-death decisions.

Fire warnings wouldn’t stop. Pilots declared an emergency. Flight attendants shouted: “Jump and slide! Leave everything!”

256 passengers. 12 crew. Evacuation slides deployed.

Everyone survived.

But here’s the part that’s sparking outrage — video shows passengers stopping to pull roller bags from overhead bins while flames were visible outside the aircraft.

The warned about this exact behavior in Safety Alert SAFO 25003, saying carry-on retrieval during evacuations delays escape, increases injuries, and reduces survivability. Regulations require a full plane to be evacuated within 90 seconds.

One person grabbing a bag can block an entire aisle.
