So long Coan River Marina and 2025 fishing season. Next stop, home port Reedville before beginning our annual maintenance routine for the 2026 Season. Thank you to all of our loyal Customers who have fished with us throughout the year as well as the numerous Captains on the bay who work with us to share information so that we can all have a successful day. Also special thanks to the excellent help received from top notch Mates like Ashley Burgess, Doug Boarman, and Emily Burgess, their hard work is the most important ingredient of our success. Lastly thank you Renee Bellows Fisher for all of the support I receive at home and for being patient with my often crazy schedule as I balance between farm and fishing. I Hope you all have a Happy and Healthy New Year, until our next trip together, You all take care.

Tim Booth an his crew joined us today for some late season Bass fishing. Nothing fast just a slow grind that produced a nice day’s catch of fish along with one jumbo release for our birthday boy Carson. Thank you Tim for organizing this fun day with us today. No slam dunk for us today just a tough little pick in the northerly breeze. Nonetheless Bear and his crew managed to land some fish for table fare along with one large 41 inch release… thanks again Bear, enjoy your birthday. Ashley Burgess and will see you next year. Until then, take care.

Tough one yesterday with Jerry Able and his crew on a very breezy day. Thankfully he and his people came back again today for some redemption. Chad and his crew joined us today for some late season Bass fishing. Our pictures make the day look easier than it actually was… Very tough, cold water bite today. We were simply blessed to be in the right spot at the right time with our gear all just right thanks to my hard working mates Ashley Burgess and Emily Burgess we were able to capitalize on the opportunity.. After yesterday’s Shakeup from the all day big Northwest winds today was certainly a much tougher bite. Nonetheless the end result was a nice catch of keeper fish with some catch and release from 18 to 29 inches.. Thank you Annette for organizing this fun day with us today. From pea soup fog this morning to break out the sunglasses mid morning it was a wonderful day of fish catching with the Daniel Thomas crew. The guys did something special and picked up their family friend Danny from the nursing home this morning to get him out doing something he loves. So needless to say after smashing limit in first 30 minutes of fishing there was no way I was sending him back to the home without wearing his arms out first on a few extra hours of catch an release…. Fall Striped Bass fishing is as good as it gets right now. Currently we are available December 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29 and 31. Text or call 804-580-0258. To say fishing this morning was Excellent is simply an understatement… Day 2 w Randy Owen’s crew the gang Smashed em by 8 am then caught an released a load of fish with lots of overs up to 36 inches.
