Although Southwest today, I remembered what it was I don’t like about the hard South East wind we had yesterday and all last night…. The after effects…. Tough day locating bait or fish. Nonetheless it came together late for us as we worked hard all day searching to put together a nice catch of Spanish Mackerel an Bluefish for the Warinner family. The guys successfully celebrated their Dad’s 70th birthday with us while Ashley celebrated her 23rd birthday today. Happy Birthday to them both. Thank you Ryan for organizing this day with us. South East is usually my least favorite wind to fish but not today…. Owen Kerns an his crew managed to hit the Drum a couple times before they pulled their usual Abracadabra Act an disappeared… During which the guys went 5 for 9 with Big Red Drum before settling in to box up a limit of nice Bluefish and a couple dozen pretty Spanish Mackerel with a couple of them being 2-3 ounces shy of Citations. Currently we are available the following weekends August 28, 30, September 4, 7 and 11 along with scattered weekdays. Text 804-580-0258 to enquire. Yesterday Frank Apuzzo and his family shared a beautiful afternoon of fishing with us. They first went 1 for 2 with the Red Drum. After which they boxed up a nice catch of Spanish Mackerel and landed 12 Jumbo Bluefish to round out a perfect evening of fishing. Ed Fortunato and his crew joined us today. They boxed up a nice catch of Spanish Mackerel an Bluefish for their day’s efforts. Two of the Mackerel stood out from the others with one making weight for a State Citation and the other a near miss yet a great fish. Congrats on your day gentlemen. Ashley and I enjoyed fishing with you all and look forward to seeing you all again in December. Until then take care. Tim Carson and his friends joined us today for some fun summer fishing. No big Red Drum as we all had hoped for. However we did land limit of Bluefish along with a nice haul of Spanish Mackerel up to 26 inches. Thank you gentleman for the kind gift of special Bourbon. Day 2 with B & B was another good one for the crew on this very humid Sunday. The guys went 3 for 5 on the Red Drum with one being 46 inches qualifying for a Release State Citation. Boxed up a nice catch of Spanish Mackerel up to 26 inches… Thanks again for organizing yet another year of our 2 day trips Birt, Ashley and I enjoyed fishing with you all. Until next time, take care.
