Breaking news: The Biden administration moves to allow flights to fly into other international airports in Cuba besides , People-to-People educational travel to return, and an increase of remittances to be sent to Cubans on the island lifted from $1,000. Happy New Year/Feliz Año Nuevo! It's been a long dark winter and we're looking forward to traveling back to Cuba soon. Did you know Cuba is one of the top vaccinated countries' in the world? More than 85% of their population have been fully vaccinated according to website Statista. New arrival regulations for travelers from the US require only showing your vaccination card and a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival. Vamos 'pa Cuba! The fascinating true story of the Cuban Five; now on Netflix, ‘Wasp Network’ is a film based on the book ‘The Last Soldiers of the Cold War: The Story of the Cuban Five’ by Fernando Morais.

Partially filmed in Havana, it centers on the true story of five Cubans agents (Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino, Fernando González, and René González) in American territory during the 1990s, when anti-Castro groups based in Florida carried out military attacks on Cuba - and to protect their country the Cuban government developed the Wasp Network to infiltrate those organizations.
Venerated as heroes in their home country, they were imprisoned in the US for espionage from 1998 until December 2014, when they were released in a prisoner swap for an American intelligence officer. Their imprisonment had been criticised internationally, including by Amnesty International, Nobel Peace Winners and members of the UK parliament.

The Trump administration expanded on Wednesday its list of Cuban entities that Americans are banned from doing business with to include the financial corporation that handles U.S. remittances to the Communist-run country.
