Happy Anniversary to the Republic Island. Mark and I took a leap of faith on what it would mean to own an Island, 19 years ago, and what a learning curve it has bee.

(I wish we could stay open year round… the running river under the ice just doesn’t bode well for most.)

Mark spent the last 2 weeks prepping the Island for Spring, Summer and Fall
guests. Thanks to the many helpful hands. With the lower than average snowfall this winter, the docks were on dry land with the melt. They are all set now.

Hard to believe it’s been 15 years to the day that Mark and I purchased the Island on a whim and a prayer people would want to enjoy it like we did.

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of our 15 year journey w this unique getaway.

We appreciate all the wonderful, kind, flexible, creative, outdoorsy guests who have made this dream of owning an island possible.
