Did you know….

Timberline lodge exterior is recognized as the set location for the chilling movie, The Shining, but its history goes back to 1937 when it was built as part of Roosevelt’s New Deal following the Great Depression. It boasts 1,685 acres of skiable terrain winding through the forested landscape below, and the Magic Mile chairlift accessing spectacular high-alpine runs above. Timberline is a nearly year-round ski resort, thanks to the 6,000-foot altitude and the glacial snow field above boasting some of the best terrain parks out west and notable for having 4,500 vertical feet of skiable runs.
