Versailles was one of those days where I was really glad I planned ahead.
We had six of us—my parents, my sister, my niece, Zion and me—and I wanted everyone to actually enjoy the day.
We had a private driver and guide, Jean Paul, and started by driving through the countryside and around the city of Versailles before heading to the palace.
And wow… Versailles.
The palace was absolutely breathtaking. The artwork, the rooms, the Hall of Mirrors, the history—you could spend hours just taking it all in.
Then we got to the gardens.
And let me tell you… those gardens are HUGE. 😂
I knew walking all over the property wasn’t going to work for our group, so we rented golf carts. They were €40 an hour, which definitely wasn’t cheap, but I was glad we did it.
We rode around the gardens, made our way to the Trianon estates and saw so much more than we would have if we’d tried to walk everywhere.
And that’s really what I wanted from this day—not to rush through Versailles just so we could say we saw it all.
I wanted my family to experience it.
And we did. ❤️
