Hidden inside this Fryette Aether amplifier was a surprise.
Look closely and you'll see the company name spelled out in wire inside the chassis.
Unfortunately, the amp also came with a loud hiss that a new set of tubes couldn't fix.
After tracking down high-frequency interference in the input stage and correcting the lead dress, the amp is now performing as it should.
We love finding little pieces of craftsmanship like this while bringing great gear back to life.
The hidden signature stayed. The noise didn't.
