Congratulations to the City of Savannah and Greg Jacobs and his team at Landmark Preservation on receiving the Chairman’s Award for Savannah’s iconic Forsyth Fountain project.

We were fortunate to work with Greg and his team during the restoration of Richmond Hill’s historic Ford Bakery six years ago, and we saw firsthand the care, craftsmanship, and respect they bring to preserving historic places.

Congratulations on this well deserved recognition, and thank you for helping preserve the stories and landmarks that connect us to our history!

Today, the Richmond Hill Visitors Bureau and Fort McAllister State Historic Park attended the Georgia Media Marketplace, where Georgia destinations had the chance to pitch stories directly to some of the biggest names in travel media.

Editors and writers from over 20 outlets including Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Southern Living, Food & Wine, Garden & Gun, CNN Travel, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution were all in the room hearing about destinations across the state.

We spent the day sharing what makes Richmond Hill special, from our museums and historic sites to outdoor adventures, local restaurants, shopping, and all the experiences that make our coastal community worth exploring!
