The Richmond Region is all about creative culture, and we have the galleries to prove it. About 70 of them, in fact. Between street murals, galleries, the VMFA and the Institute for Contemporary Art, you’ll feel our creative culture everywhere!

The arts are well alive in Richmond. Come check out a show at our improv comedy nights, live music productions, and other art galleries and museums.

Learn more about the City Center plans from Richmond BizSense. The Richmond City Council recently approved the plan, an amendment to the Richmond 300 master plan that’s aimed at guiding growth over a roughly 20-block area Downtown.

City-owned properties make up the bulk of the 26-acre area slated to become an innovation district with startups, incubators and mixed-use redevelopments.

Visitors at Richmond International Airport (RIC) can now view the new “Welcome to Richmond” mural. The mural—located by Gate 11 and the Market on Broad store—was created by local artists Paris Allen and Christian Kyle Harrell (aka “Humble”) and spotlights the many attractions the Richmond Region has to offer to visitors.
