Established in 1825, Morton Cemetery is one of the oldest burial grounds in Texas. It is the resting place of a president of the Republic of Texas, the woman known as the "Mother of Texas," and a pioneer whose story of kindness to a stranger still stands in brick and mortar nearly 200 years later.

Take a quiet walk through the grounds with us and meet the people who helped shape the place we call home.
