Thank you, New South Media and WV Living for featuring us, and thank you, Susan Mathis Johnson for the wonderful writeup!
And a great, big thank you to our guests for the patronage since we opened in December 2020!
If you haven’t been to Richwood, we and other local hosts would love to have you come and visit.
As we like to say, our little municipality of 1,600 people at the edge of the Monongahela Nationall Forest might sound like we are in the middle of nowhere, but we are also in the middle of everything!
New River Gorge, Summersville Lake, Lewisburg, Snowshoe Resort, Beartown, Summit Lake, the Falls at Hills Creek, the Cranberry Glades Botanical Area, Pocahontas Opera House, the Pearl S. Buck house… all are just a few attractions within easy, scenic and beautiful driving distance.
Closer to home, aside from our gallery downstairs, Richwood has possibly the world’s cutest, friendliest coffee shop and florist, hospitable restaurants and bars, an arts & antiques store, a toy and thrift shop, a heritage center and arts & crafts coop, and the upcoming Cranberry Tri-River Rail Trail - a great addition to the variety of outdoor recreation just steps away and available year-round.
Richwood has several annual events that keep us busy - the Feast of the Ramson in April, the Scenic Mountain Triathlon in July, concerts in the sculpture garden on Friday evenings in June and July, the Fireman’s Parade and Cherry River Festival in August, Art Week in October, and the Christmas Parade and Hometown Holiday Marketplace in December. These small town celebrations keep Richwood dear to both residents and visitors alike.
Come experience the charm and magic of Richwood, WV!
La Bonita Richwood promises a "tropical getaway" in a charming mountain town.
