🌀MONITORING TROPICAL STORM RACHEL🌀

NAWS China Lake emergency management teams are actively tracking the path of Tropical Storm Rachel. While the storm is currently offshore, its tropical moisture is projected to move north into the Southern California desert, which will impact the Indian Wells Valley from Sunday through Monday. In the high desert, tropical remnants mean a high risk of flash flooding in low-lying areas, dry arroyos, and washes, alongside sudden severe wind gusts.

Sunday: The highest chance of rain, with potential for heavy localized downpours and significant desert runoff.

Whether you’re at a coffee shop, airport, hotel, or anywhere else using public Wi-Fi, think twice before logging into your banking accounts.

A few simple habits can help keep your information safer:

• Avoid accessing online or mobile banking over public Wi-Fi
• Use your cellular/mobile data when possible
• If it can wait, handle sensitive transactions on a trusted network
• If you do access an account, make sure you’re completely logged out when you’re finished.
