PGA National’s Champion Course welcomes the world’s best golfers this week at the PGA Tour’s Cognizant Classic (). The TripCaddie team was onsite just one month ago as the resort prepared for the event.

We checked out the $100 million renovation of PGA National Resort and Spa () located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Of course, we played a round on the Champion Course to test our skills on Jack Nicklaus’ Bear Trap, just like the pros will be doing this week.

Holes 15, 16 and 17 feature two challenging par 3’s over water with a similarly difficult and water-protected par 4 sandwiched between them. Those holes can douse the championship dreams of Tour pros with many approach shots finding watery graves. How will you fare?

The resort also features Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio designed courses, as well as The Match, a unique and innovative course with no par on the scorecard. And for a fun afternoon 9 hole game with your buddies, hit the Staple 9-hole short course.

We’re ba-a-a-ck!!! The crew will be at Resort Casino all weekend on another .

We will be playing all of the championship courses, including the Tom Fazio designed Atunyote (site of the former PGA Tour event, The Turning Stone Resort Championship), the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed Kaluhyat (the #1 course in NY by Golfers’ Choice in 2022 as rated by Golf Pass) and Shenendoah (one-time host of the PGA National Club Professional Championship).

We will also try our luck in the award-winning casino and check out the AAA Four Diamond rated Wildflowers restaurant, The Lodge and The Tower Hotel.
