Three journeys with us… and her fourth is already booked. 💛

She joined her first Olegana women-only tour, loved it, decided to travel with us again… and then again. And now she’s getting ready for trip number four.

I loved hearing her talk about what keeps bringing her back.

So much care goes into creating these journeys, from finding special, less-touristy experiences to choosing the right guides, hotels and places that give you a real sense of the destination.

Even on the tours I don’t personally host, I know the itinerary. I know the guides. I know the hotels and how the trip flows. There are months of planning and thought behind what eventually becomes a week of traveling together.

And hearing that those details are noticed and appreciated, especially by someone who has chosen to travel with us four times, means so much. 💛

If you’ve been watching our journeys and wondering what it’s really like to come along, hear it from someone who knows firsthand.

2027 is filling up, and we’re already working on what’s coming in 2028. ✈️

2027 & 2028—let’s go! ✨

Maybe you’ve been waiting for a friend to travel with… or maybe you’re simply ready to stop waiting.

Our women-only small group trips are filled with beautiful places, special hotels, amazing food, authentic local experiences, and plenty of time to actually enjoy it all. And the best part? You’ll be sharing it with a group of women who often arrive as strangers and leave as friends.

Several 2027 trips are already filling, and our 2028 plans are starting to come together.

If you keep saying “one day,” maybe this is your sign. 💛 Take a look at the trips through the link in our bio and see which one feels like yours.

Come on your own. You won’t feel alone.

I went to Curaçao knowing almost nothing about it and came home a little bit in love.

It’s Dutch, it’s dry, it’s outside the hurricane belt, and it’s still not crowded.

This water was flat like this every day we were there, because the beaches on this side are protected coves. The same day another resort had a yellow flag up, ours looked like this.

There’s a synagogue in town with a sand floor, the oldest one still in use in the Americas.

On Thursday nights everyone comes out for music and fireworks.

Even on a day when I woke up in a bad mood, I felt relaxed within an hour of walking outside. I don’t say that about many places.

I stayed at one hotel and toured eight more, so I know which one is right for a couple, which one works for a family with young kids, and which two I would not book you into.

If Curaçao is on your list, send me a message.

Three Puglia departures in 2026. All three gone.

I know. You meant to email me. It was on the list, somewhere under “call the dentist” and “deal with the garage.”

Good news: 2027 is open, and you’re hearing about it first.
April 30 – May 7
October 2 – 9

Seven nights in Puglia. Handmade orecchiette, olive groves at golden hour, a glass in your hand by six, and not one person asking you what’s for dinner.

The dentist will still be there in 2027. Puglia might not have a seat.

Comment below and I’ll send you everything.

A short one today. The October week in Puglia closes on September 9.

If you've been turning it over since last week, that's normal. It's usually the point at which people decide.

Seven nights in one masseria. Sixteen women, more than half arriving on their own. A week built around producers and kitchens instead of restaurants.

Kerry hosts this one. She has a master's in Italian cuisine and grew up in a family of eleven where every meal was cooked at home.

If you want it, tell me today and I'll take it from there. Message me and I'll call you.

Five families. Five regions of Italy. One unexpected pattern.

When we sit down to design a custom Italy itinerary, the cooking class is rarely the thing clients ask for first. They want the Colosseum, Florence at golden hour, the Amalfi Coast drive. The cooking class is usually something we add. A quiet half-day folded between bigger bucket-list moments.

And then they come home. And they tell us it was their favorite part of the entire trip.

It keeps happening.

Mike C. and his family in Montalcino said their pasta-making afternoon was the favorite moment of the whole Tuscany trip.

Rosanne S. in Capri said she could have spent the entire day in the lemon grove.

Kenneth N. and his family in Sicily came home talking about a chocolate maker in Modica more than Mount Etna.

Andrew and Melissa G., whose kids kneaded dough with an Italian grandmother in Tuscany, still bring it up.

Glenn and Lynda L., who we sent to Piemonte for the first time, called their cooking class in the Langhe the highlight.

Five different trips. Five different regions. The same line every time.

We think the reason is simple: a good cooking class in Italy is the one moment on a trip when you are genuinely, unhurriedly, invited into someone's actual life. Not a performance. Not a tour. A kitchen, a family, and someone teaching you something they love.

I wrote the full story on the blog, with all five client moments and how we choose the right class for the right traveler.

There’s a point in late September when Europe starts to feel different.

The tour buses thin out. Harvest season begins. The afternoons turn golden. And places that felt impossibly busy a few weeks earlier suddenly have room to breathe again.

This is one of my favorite times to travel in Europe.

🍂 October means white truffles in Piedmont
🍇 Harvest season in Portugal’s Douro Valley
🌊 Warm-enough-to-swim days on the Amalfi Coast
☀️ Sicily still serving up sunshine, warm seas and long lunches well into fall
🇮🇹 A quieter Italian Riviera, especially West Liguria
🇵🇹 Lisbon that feels warm, walkable and wonderfully unhurried

Fall in Europe isn’t simply “off season.” In many places, it’s when the destination is at its best.

Where would you choose for a fall escape: Italy or Portugal or Sicily? 👇

How many trips have you put off because no one else was ready to go?

At some point, you stop waiting. 💛

You say yes to the place you’ve been dreaming about, trust that you’ll meet the right people along the way, and go.

That’s the heart of our women-only trips.

Finish this sentence for me, ladies.

“The trip I keep telling myself I’ll take someday is ___.”

You know the one. It’s the trip you mention at dinner parties. The one you’ve watched a documentary about. The one you keep saying you’ll do “when things settle down,” even though things never quite settle down.

Mine was Venetian Carnival. For years I told myself someday, and then I finally went, and I didn’t just watch from the sidelines. I stood in an atelier trying on a real Carnival gown, the kind made for the masquerade balls, and wondered why on earth I waited so long.

So tell me yours in the comments. No budget limits, no logistics, no “but my knees.” Just the place.

I read every single answer.

P.S. We’re doing this again in April 2027. A small group of women, Venice, the atelier, the gowns, all of it. If your someday trip has always been Venice, this might be your sign. Message me for details before spots open more widely. — at Venice, Italy.
