‼️THE KINZUA SKYWALK IS OPEN!!!!! ‼️
🍁From today (Sept. 1) through Halloween (Oct. 31), the Kinzua Skywalk will be temporarily opened for fall leaf peeping. Make your way out onto the Skywalk before it will close again in November until its rehabilitation project is anticipated to be completed, likely in Fall 2027. 🍂
⚠️Because construction equipment pulled out of the way of the Skywalk is taking up a lot of the parking available at the park, be aware that when parking hits capacity (is full) that park staff may close the gate to the park for a period of time to allow for parking spaces to open up so more visitors can enter the park. During the gate closure, traffic will be turned away from the park until it is deemed by park staff that the gate can reopen.⚠️
Also, with this coming weekend marking Labor Day Weekend, there are several programs available to enjoy if you come out to Kinzua Bridge State Park in addition to walking out onto the Skywalk:
🦌250 Years of Pennsylvania White-tailed Deer – noon Saturday for walk and talk with John Dzemyan, retired PA Game Commission Wildlife Conservation Officer and Land Manager, about the last 250-year history of the white-tailed deer
🫖Life and LiberTEAs During the American Revolution – 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for classroom presentation on the use of foraged wild “teas” during the revolutionary period in America with some pre-prepared “tea” samples
🏹Intro to Archery – 11 a.m. Sunday with targets and bows provided
🌿Invasive Plant Walk – 1 p.m. Sunday to explore the park for invasive plants
🫎PA Elk – 10 a.m. Monday to learn about PA’s largest member of the deer family
🌻Edible Plants in the Environment – 3 p.m. Monday for an introductory edible plant walk that includes identification and using a field guide
