If you’re planning a trip to Europe and would love to visit wineries during your travels, we strongly recommend planning ahead for winery visits! 🍷

Many European wineries do not have public tasting rooms, so if you’d like to meet the winemaker, tour the vineyards, or visit your favorite producer, reservations are often required well in advance, ideally at least 3 weeks or more before your trip.

Another important tip: European winery hours can be very different from what we’re used to in the U.S. and Canada. While many travelers expect wineries to be open on weekends, you may find some European wineries closed so the winemakers can enjoy their weekends, too!

Happy Monday!

Nicole’s adventures continue with a flight from Istanbul to Kayseri, one of Central Anatolia’s most historic and culturally rich cities, and the gateway to magical Cappadocia. ✈️

The plan was to experience the famous hot air balloons soaring above the fairy chimneys, but Mother Nature had other ideas and flights were cancelled two days in a row. 🎈🌧️

The adventure continued with a visit to the incredible Göreme Open Air Museum, a breathtaking valley filled with rock-carved churches and monasteries dating back to the Byzantine period. Once home to monks and an important pilgrimage destination, the area features hundreds of cave churches and monasteries, with some of the most impressive preserved inside the open-air museum itself.

Sometimes travel doesn’t go exactly as planned… but the unexpected moments often become the most memorable ones. 💜
