Happy Saturday Friends!🍂

Hope you all had a wonderful and safe Halloween, NOVEMBER already, WHAT! Time is flying by!😱

Day 4 & 5 were absolutely amazing!

Our next port stop was SKAGWAY, and let me just say, this was by far our coldest stop yet lol our faces may not show it, but I promise you, it was 🙃

Since it was almost the end of the season, most shops had already been closed for the year, so we walked around explored the town a little and made a stop at the famous town sign. Along with reading how this plow train used to clear the white pass years ago. This is where we got to try the famous Alaskan fry bread😋

Day 5 was nothing short of amazing and pictures do not do it justice!🤩 GLACIER BAY NATIONAL PARK❄️

This is where our balcony room really did its job lol early morning while arriving to glacier bay we were able to see the start of the journey into the park. At the observation lounge, there were 3 national park rangers that boarded our ship to give some insight on what we would be seeing today. Very informative, there was also a station where you can get a stamp saying you were visiting the national park, so cool! The biggest take away from today was: if you want to visit Alaska, look for a cruise that visits glacier bay, you won’t regret it!😇

Happy Wednesday Friends!❄️

It’s time to continue recapping, DAY 2 and 3!🙌🏼

Day 2 was pretty relaxing onboard, we spent the day at sea so that gave us time to explore and see what NCL was all about. My husband joined a black jack tournament, gambled a little, enjoyed a game in their atrium, and had a delicious dinner at their signature steakhouse Cagneys! It was so good, cannot recommend it enough. With our balcony room, we received 2 specialty dining credits, so of course we had to use one here!😋

Day 3 was our first official port day, which was JUNEAU!🐻 I had a couple things I wanted to knock out while here. 1. was eat at TRACYS 2. Have a drink at the Red Dog Saloon, so check on completing those!✅

The perk of being the 2nd to last cruise coming into port was that most stores were having their “end of season” sale, which was nice for getting our family souvenirs 🫶🏼

Again, cannot say it enough, GO TO ALASKA!🏔️

Happy Monday Friends, I’m back from my Alaskan cruise, which means it’s time to recap!🥳

Let’s begin with pre cruise activities and arrival.
One piece of advice that I cannot stress enough is to try to arrive one day before boarding (when possible). This helps with possible delays on flights or weather preventing you from getting to your ship on time.

For this trip, we arrived to Seattle a day before and explored a little before it got too late.

We had Korean bbq for dinner at Bellwether, so delicious, highly recommend it. Walked around after dinner then woke up pretty early to be able to drop off our bags with port valet. (Always a must so you can go exploring). Saw the wharf, and the aquarium! Once boarded we checked into our muster station and began exploring our ship. Day 1 consisted of getting situated, explored the ship, the sail away party and had dinner at one of the complimentary restaurants named SAVOR😋

Come back Wednesday for Day 2 and 3 (our first stop of the trip… Juneau❄️)

Cruising during hurricane season (June - November) means lower prices, but that idea can be intimidating! Here are a few hurricane season tips for cruising:

🛳️Get trip insurance! (This is a great idea no matter when you travel)

🛳️Book flights for early in the day! This reduces the risk of cancellation, but if you have to hit the road you have plenty of time!

🛳️Go with the flow! Cruise lines really don’t want to cancel sailings, so they will do all they can to avoid that including changing itineraries to avoid weather issues.
