This is something you don't see every day... a Caribbean Reef Squid depositing fertilized eggs into a small, protected space on the reef. She will die soon after having completed her process.

This Loggerhead Turtle was making it's way into the current and didn't mind me tagging along for a bit this morning.

Trumpetfish are native to the tropical waters of the western Atlantic Ocean and can grow up to 1 meter in length. These fish are masters of camouflage (they can change their color instantly to disguise themselves) and often swim vertically with their heads down to blend into surrounding coral or seagrass. They feed on small fish and crustaceans by sucking them into their mouths like a drinking straw.

French Grunts often school around ledges and protected coral areas, such as near this orange Elephant Ear Sponge. Their name comes from the loud "grunting" noise they produce by grinding their teeth together, which acts as a communication method within their large schools.
