Heads up for planning after Aug 7th. Changes coming to Disney Genie+ and LL. These rides will drop from Genie+ and now be LL:

* Magic Kingdom Park: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain
* EPCOT: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
* Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
* Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Avatar Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.

While there was already question if Disney Genie+ was worth the value, with these popular attractions dropping off Genie+ and moving into Lightning Lane à la carte purchases only, so stay tuned!

Big news about Genie+.

Disney sent an email to us this morning stating this:

"We are making an adjustment to how guests purchase Disney Genie+ service at Walt Disney World Resort, which remains popular and in high demand amongst our guests.

Beginning June 8, Disney Genie+ will only be offered through the My Disney Experience app on the day of visit – we will no longer offer the option to purchase this service pre-arrival as a ticket add-on for dates remaining in 2022 and in 2023.

This means that, moving forward, whether guests have an Annual Pass, multi- or single-day ticket, they will now purchase Disney Genie+ on the day of their visit via the My Disney Experience app, one day at a time, subject to availability.

We expect that, on average, guests who purchase Disney Genie+ service will continue to enter 2-3 attractions or experiences each day using the Lightning Lane entrance when the first selection is made early in the day.

Given the unique nature and size of Walt Disney World Resort, there have been many considerations that have gone into this update. We’re focused on delivering the best possible guest experience, and this adjustment will help manage the incredibly strong demand our guests have shown for Disney Genie+.

If guests have already purchased a ticket or package that includes Disney Genie+ service for dates later in 2022, the service will be honored during their visit. "

It is a big day for Disney rumors and facts -

Rumor has it that Disney World is looking at fireworks starting as early as July 2021!!!!!

The fact is that on June 15, a new face covering policy goes into effect: see below the details - straight from Disney!

Face Coverings:

Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated Guests in most areas. Face coverings will still be required of all guests on Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner. While we will not require proof of vaccination, we expect Guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, and upon entering and throughout all attractions and transportation. Guests must observe current policies on face coverings until June 15, 2021.

Physical Distancing:

We will be relaxing physical distancing guidelines for Guests. This will be visible in places like queues, shops, restaurants, attraction boarding, transportation, and our theaters. It's important to remember that some experiences and entertainment may still be operating with limited capacity or may remain temporarily unavailable. We're not quite ready to bring back everything yet, but we are optimistic and look forward to the day when Disney pals and princesses are able to hug once again.

Cleaning:

We will continue the high standards for cleanliness and sanitation we've always set for ourselves. Cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer will be available.

We encourage people to get vaccinated.
