Get • Spirit Airlines has officially shut down overnight after 34 years, canceling all 9,000 scheduled flights and leaving 17,000 employees out of work. The budget carrier, known for ultra-low fares and bright yellow planes, had been hemorrhaging money since the pandemic, losing over $2.5 billion since 2020 and filing for bankruptcy twice. A last-ditch government bailout was on the table but fell through, and soaring jet fuel prices driven by the Iran war delivered the final blow. It’s the first major US airline shutdown since 9/11 and with Spirit gone, expect airfares across the board to rise.

I came across a popcorn company at the Wine Festival yesterday. It's located in Farmington, NY and it's Black-owned and amazing. I definitely recommend them. I purchased the movie popcorn and it's vegan friendly.
