Stokoe Farms is a must-visit spot for anybody looking for fall fun! ✨

Stop by the farm before October 25 to experience Harvest Fest, featuring hayrides, pumpkins, the area’s largest petting zoo, a candy cannon, and tons of special events.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Stokoe is open throughout the winter season as well, offering Christmas trees, wagon rides through the tree fields, giant slides, warm bonfires, and so much more.

In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we are taking a moment to reflect on the fact that Rochester sits on the ancestral homelands of the Onöndowa'ga:' (Seneca Nation) of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.

Long before the city of Rochester was established, this community called our Genesee River "Ge-ne-see," or "pleasant banks.” For years the river acted as a cultural center for the Seneca Nation and other indigenous groups, and today it continues to hold strong historical ties to the still present Seneca and Haudenosaunee people.

We encourage you to check out the resources below to learn more about Rochester’s extensive Indigenous history.

The 2026 Gateways Fall Music Festival kicks off today at Eastman School of Music! 🎻🎶🎹

Geared at spotlighting the depth, range, and expansion of Black artistry in classical music, this year’s festival celebrates artists who honor the legacy that has come before while also contributing something all their own.

Gateways 2026 brings together incredible artists like violist George Taylor; cellist, vocalist, songwriter, and composer Shana Tucker; pianist Ric’key Pageot; musicologist, author, and Stanford professor Dr. Matthew D. Morrison, and so many more to celebrate all that Black artistry brings to classical music.
