I did the Canyon Spirit training yesterday. I booked a trip from Denver to Salt Lake City on the train for September 1st. It is a three day trip and takes a slow, winding path through the amazing Southwest. You spend the day on the train and sleep in a hotel at night. We board in Denver with our first stopover in Glenwood Spings, CO. Our second night is spent in Moab. You can end your journey there or continue on the third day to Salt Lake City. All food, drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol), tips and hotel stays are included.

Would you like to come along? Just message me to find out the details.

Have you ever wanted to go to St. Thomas, St. Croix and San Juan? Come along with us on June 26th. Leaving out of Port Canaveral. 8 fabulous days on the Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas. It is one of the smaller Royal ships but it has great reviews. Travel along with me as I help you navigate your cruise. Just let me know if you want more info.

Ever wonder how travel agents get paid? Are you worried that you would pay more if you use a travel agent? Concerned about how much it will cost to use a travel agent?

Anytime you book travel of any kind, there is ALWAYS a commission built into that price. When you book direct, that cruise line, hotel or resort does NOT deduct that money from the price, they just keep the overage. The consumer pays the same price, but travel agents are paid by the supplier. The commission is built into the price of every travel product you book, even if you don’t use a travel agent. Why not use a service you are already paying for?

Travel agents have access to special rates, promos, and can add special perks designed just for you. Your travel agent will learn what you like and design your trip with those things in mind.

I love to know where we are during our cruise. I use the app called Cruise Mapper. It not only shows you where you are, but also shows what other ships are near you. So this is Cruise Mapper and a real picture as we head into Key West.

We are at the airport and ready to leave this cold and snowy weather.
Always fly a day or more ahead of your cruise. Flights are unpredictable and you don't want to miss your cruise because of a flight delay.
I have a few of my cruise 'must haves' with us. Magnets for the cabin are helpful. We put a couple on the back of the door and hang our lanyards there. That way you never misplace them or forget to take it. Lanyards are a handy way to keep your seapass handy. I always get them on Amazon as they are much cheaper than on the ship.
Print your luggage tags and put them into plastic holders. Attach these just prior to sailing. I order these on Amazon also. You don't want to deal with a lost bag.
I use packing bags. They are great for just taking out of the suitcase and putting them in a drawer in the cabin. They help keep you organized and save space in your suitcase.
That's it for now. Happy traveling.

I am getting out the summer clothes today. Have to get items ready for our cruise next week.

What if some emergency comes up and we can't go?

What if my luggage gets lost on the way to the ship?

What if there are delays which make us miss the cruise?

I recommend travel insurance. Yes... it is expensive but so is losing all of the money you paid for your trip. We travel a lot so we purchase an annual policy from Allianz. I fell on a cruise December 2024. I was treated on the ship but my medical insurance didn't cover that because we were in international waters. I paid the bill and filed it when I got home. I was reimbursed for all of those charges within one week of filing my claim.

Do you need travel insurance? Only if you want peace of mind.

Let's chat about getting you covered for your next trip.

Just one more week until we cruise to the Southern Caribbean on the beautiful Celebrity Silhouette. We sail out of Ft. Lauderdale. It is 6 nights. We stop at Key West and then have a day at sea. We sail clear down to Grand Cayman where we plan to swim with the stingrays. Then we have another day at sea as we head back up to Cozumel. I will be posting while we are sailing so you can see how magnificent this beautiful ship is.

Want to experience this on your own? Just DM me and I can make that happen.

I have been home a couple of weeks now and I have been wanting to do an update on our American Cruise Lines Cruise.
Our flights on Alaska Air were wonderful. Brand new planes and staff was very pleasant. Nonstop from Indy to Seattle. Highly recommend.
Seattle was great. We ate our way around Pike Place Market. We had watched several YouTube videos so we knew the spots we wanted to hit.
We stayed at The State Hotel which was just a block from the market. Very nice older hotel. I would stay there again.
We then boarded our cruise ship for a tour of Puget Sound and the SanJuan Islands. The ship only has 5 decks with 180 people. We sailed for 7 days from Port to Port.
The food was great. We felt the entertainment was pretty bad. The excursions were nice but pretty expensive. Overall, the pace was very slow and not much to do on the ship. It was a much older crowd with many who had mobility issues. The staff was very caring with those who needed help. There was only one day when we couldn't see land. We were never far from the coastline.
My advice would be that if you want to travel with older family members, this is ideal.
Glad we went but don't plan to do another ACL cruise.

Ready to sail away soon.
