{I THINK} We finally decided on Animal Kingdom Lodge for next month’s trip! ✨ (AKA - I booked it, but I tend to change my mind a lot and end up split-staying; so we will see if I keep this for the whole stay. 😆🫣)
We haven’t stayed at AKL since 2018 - so the girls were teeny tiny then - and it was only for a quick 2 nights.
Some deciding factors:
✨Since our first time there was so short; we didn’t get to explore the resort. The Jambo House pool was also closed at that time, so had to use Kidani’s. (Which was awesome!)
✨We have come to enjoy more resort time as the girlies have gotten older. There is so much to do at this Resort that I know they’ll love! 💦
✨Since they ARE older, we don’t have to worry about folding stroller for the busses, so we don’t mind them as much. Plus, Uber is easy now too. 😜
✨We are on a smaller budget for this trip. We are definitely a Deluxe level family; we enjoy the amenities and perks like Extended Evening Hours. 🌙 But since AKL doesn’t have the proximity to the parks like some of our favorites (Yacht + Beach, Contemporary), the price point is a decent amount lower.
✨I’m dying to try out the night vision goggles. 😆 I booked a Savanna view, because even though I know I can book standard and still request partial view - I’m taking no chances! 🦒 🦓
✨ We LOVE having good food easily accessible to us. Animal Kingdom Lodge is a foodie’s dream. Between Jiko, Boma, and Sanaa - you don’t even have to book dinners elsewhere. The Mara is also one of the yummiest QS spots! (lookin’ at you, zebra domes and rice bowls!) 🤤 it will also be between festivals at Epcot - so I won’t be disappointed that I can’t run in the back entrance quick to try alllll the foods. 😉
If you’ve stayed at AKL - what was your favorite thing about it?!
