Congratulations to the Sterling Rock Falls Historical Society on being selected as a recipient of funding through Illinois Humanities in recognition of America 250!
We’re proud to see this important work in our community supported as we commemorate 250 years of American history. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

We are excited to announce that the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society has been selected as one of 50 organizations across Illinois to receive funding from Illinois Humanities in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary!

Illinois Humanities is investing a total of $250,000 in organizations that preserve and share our state’s history, heritage, archives, collections, and community stories. We are honored to be included among the organizations doing this important work throughout Illinois.

A special thank-you goes to William Abate for following through on this opportunity and helping make sure everything was completed. His efforts on behalf of the Historical Society are greatly appreciated.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Illinois Humanities and Illinois America 250 for supporting organizations that keep local history alive and accessible for present and future generations.

🚲🍻 BEERS & GEARS IS NEXT SATURDAY! 🍻🚲
Get ready for Beers & Gears on Saturday, September 12! This fun-filled bicycle pub crawl is proudly registered with Ride Illinois! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️
We’re kicking off the day with an optional breakfast stop! 🌯☕ Grab a delicious breakfast burrito from Air Play Espresso & Bakery, then head over to Crafted Roots for an 11:00 AM start. Check-in begins at 10:45 AM!
From there, we’ll hit 10 bars throughout Sterling and Rock Falls, enjoying great drinks and plenty of fun along the way. 🍻🚲
We’ll finish the day back at Crafted Roots around 4:45 PM, where T & D BBQ will be serving up their delicious BBQ options! 🔥🍖
And remember—while Beers & Gears is all about having a great time, safety comes first! Please be responsible, watch for traffic, follow the rules of the road, and look out for your fellow cyclists. 🚦🚲❤️

The streets are getting ready for one of the biggest celebrations of Fiesta Days by the Hispanic Business Leaders Committee of the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce! Grab your family and friends and come enjoy an afternoon filled with music, color, community, and fun! 🎶🎊
