Where is the largest Touch A Truck in the United States you ask....right here in Rock Falls, Illinois with close to 200 vehicles including a helicopter, monster trucks, famous movie vehicles and so much more showing up yesterday, May 30, in downtown Rock Falls!!! This event is put on by John Watts, a local citizen of Rock Falls! He spends a year getting this event put together and he does a great job! He gets sponsors, lines up the vehicles, works with the City of Rock Falls, has a ton of fun give aways for kids...all done from his big heart and the love of seeing kids and families all having a fun, free, family-friendly day!! Shout out to John Watts, Boss Roofing-Siding Experts and the many other sponsors including Rock Falls Tourism!!! Thanks to Slater Photography for capturing all the fun!!

🌸 Summer is blooming all around in Rock Falls!

Take a look at the freshly planted flower pots along 1st Avenue in Rock Falls! While the planters aren’t new, this year’s flowers have officially been planted, and we can’t wait to watch them grow and bloom throughout the summer. A big thank you to Selmi's Greenhouse & Family Farm for the beautiful plantings—they’re already adding charm and will only get more stunning as the season goes on. 🌼

Touch A Truck of Rock Falls – 9am – 3pm – The event is free to the public and includes a sensory-friendly Quiet Hour to ensure everyone can participate comfortably starting at 9am. Touch A Truck of Rock Falls is a community-funded, nonprofit event recognized as the largest Touch A Truck event in the nation, designed to inspire kids through hands-on learning. In 2026, the event moves to Downtown Rock Falls, transforming the area into a massive interactive zone with nearly 200 vehicles to explore. Families can climb into construction equipment, meet local heroes, and enjoy unique attractions like movie cars—all while promoting screen-free, real-world experiences.
