Set sail on a one-of-a-kind architectural adventure with Victory Cruise Lines and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation’s Taliesin Institute. This new partnership brings a unique educational experience to the Great Lakes, combining the comforts of coastal cruising with a deep dive into the life and legacy of one of America’s most influential architects.
As you travel aboard one of Victory’s recently relaunched boutique ships, enjoy expert-led video lectures and guided onshore tours of some of Wright’s most iconic designs in Chicago, Detroit, and Grand Rapids. Highlights include Unity Temple, Robie House, the Meyer May House, and even rare access to private residences not typically open to the public.
The journey begins at Chicago’s Navy Pier, with optional pre-cruise tours of Wright landmarks, and continues with immersive visits, including Detroit’s Smith House and Grand Rapids’ Amberg House.
With a relaxed, bed-and-breakfast atmosphere, fewer than 200 guests, and ports that larger ships can’t reach, this cruise is designed for curious travelers looking to connect more deeply with architecture, culture, and history.
