The best way to learn line handling is with your best friends hanging from that line! These guys were in, possibly small, but very capable hands with Emma….and they kept her hopping. Building trust in each other is a huge part of the fit out season and we think these guys are well on their way to making an unstoppable crew!

Schooner Heritage has that fresh spring coat of pine tar applied to her rig! Tar day is always a day marked by “fowlies”, climbing gear, that sweet smoky scent of tar hanging the air, and pizza at the picnic table to celebrate a job well done!

We frequently receive requests for daysails and the unfortunate answer is always no. But for today the answer is YES!
Don’t miss our single opportunity we are offering this year to join us for one day as we sail in the Great Schooner Race out of Rockland on July 3rd!

You will join us in the morning via a yawl boat shuttle ride out to the schooner from the town dock. We will raise sails and make our way out into the bay with over a dozen other magnificent vessels all vying for the winning position. As we sail through the course we’ll be enjoying amazing creations coming from our galley crafted with fresh local ingredients.
Once the course has been completed we will join the other vessels at the town docks for an on shore celebration and awards ceremony complete with snacks and drinks before heading back aboard ship for a delightful dinner in the warmth and comradery of the galley.
