Our most famous subject is Motif #1, the red fishing shack in Rockport Harbor. It proudly bears the lobster buoys of retired and lost lobstermen and women. The heart of Rockport is only 3 miles from Gloucester, the oldest seaport and fishing village in America!

What an inspiring event it was to witness the Guiding Eyes graduates and their incredible dogs embark on the next chapter of their lives together. It was truly heartwarming to see them express gratitude to the amazing trainers, puppy raisers, and their own instructors who prepared them for this journey. Linda and I had the pleasure of enjoying a lovely dinner with Asante’s two devoted raisers—such wonderful people, and I have no doubt our paths will cross again!

The Ropes Mansion in Salem, Massachusetts, around 1896-1910 and 2023. The house was built in the late 1720s, and it is now preserved by the Peabody Essex Museum. It is also a popular destination for tourists to Salem, since it was one of the filming locations for “Hocus Pocus” in 1993.
