Steve wrapped up another bathroom renovation. Guests in Queen Bee, Cabin 8 will enjoy a 2nd fresh new bathroom. Now with full tub/shower, new flooring and shiplap pine in place of the sheetrock.

This marks the official start of lake season, folks — time to get the boats ready, pull out the docks, and soak in that Moosehead magic!

It’s a bluebird day over Moosehead Lake. Ice is out on many of the smaller water bodies. Mountain View and Burnham Pond are in the clear. Things are getting pretty dark on the big lake. It will soon be free of ice too. Open water fishing season is happening now. A link to the current Maine laws & regs can be found in the comments. 🎣 🛶 🚤 😃

Just a few more finishing touches before guests arrive 💡 We are installing fun, new lighting in many of the cabins.

Rockwood is pretty quiet this time of year. The snowbirds are back. The merganzers are pairing up and the lakes are slowly filling. Docks are in and the boat launch is clear. Open water fishing season kicks off April 1st 🎣 🛶 🐟

Our oldest son turned 20 today, 20!!! We all took the day off from work and school and got out for a birthday ride in the fresh snow.
