We are so proud to celebrate this year’s Project Leadership class and the time, energy, and heart they invested in growing as leaders in our community.

As we look ahead to next year, Project Leadership is evolving with even more intentional leadership development, including personal, professional, and emotional intelligence coaching woven throughout the program, hands-on nonprofit community project experience, civic engagement opportunities, and a more welcoming, flexible approach to participation — because life happens, and we believe in people.

We are also excited to share that scholarship opportunities will be available to help reduce barriers to participation, with up to 50% off tuition for eligible applicants.

This week, our President & CEO, Kira Zavala, represented the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce at the WACE (Western Association of Chamber Executives) program in Billings, Montana.

Kira was honored to serve as a panelist for a discussion on navigating change alongside leaders from Visit Billings, Billings Public Schools, and the local healthcare system’s community outreach team.

The conversation highlighted something we believe deeply: strong communities are built by people who care, collaborate, and lead through change with purpose. It was also a meaningful reminder that sustainable leadership requires balance in our work, our families, and the communities we serve.

We also participated in a strategic planning workshop and look forward to implementing best practices that will help strengthen the Chamber and better serve our members.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share the work underway in Roseburg with Chamber professionals from across the western United States.
