It has been one heck of a year so far! I am heading to Scottsdale, Arizona on Wednesday for my 4th Annual Million Dollar Showcase with my Travel Biz. This is an invite-only event for anyone who is currently on track to sell more than a million dollars in travel by the end of the year. I hit the million dollar mark already last week, so I am about 5-months ahead of the game! I couldn't have done this without the tremendous support of all my loyal repeat clients, and the many new ones I have gained this year. Thanks to everyone who has been passing my name on to your friends and coworkers. I can't wait to report back to you after the Showcase with all the new things I will learn about the numerous vacation destinations around the world. I am truly Blessed and living the dream! Just spent an amazing 8-nights in Mexico! The first 4-nights were for a FAM (familiarization) trip at the Ava Resort in Riviera Maya. The next 4-nights was the annual Avoya Land Forum at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya Resort. I learned a ton about booking land vacations all over the world - not just the Caribbean. I was also honored to be selected for a special panel session during the Land Forum to discuss Group Travel. As usual, I am coming back energized and ready to plan and book your next family vacation to the Caribbean, whether it is Mexico, Jamaica, Punta Cana, or wherever else you want to go! Welcome back to Mike and his family from their first (but not last) cruise to the Bahamas! Here's what Mike had to say:

🚨 Quick heads-up for travelers to Mexico (including Cabo & Cancun): Vapes are a no-go.

Mexico has tightened enforcement, and va**ng devices are now strictly prohibited from being brought into the country.

Here’s what you need to know:

• The law: Any v**e or e-cigarette (disposable or reusable) is considered contraband under Mexico’s General Health Law. There is no personal-use exception.

• Inspections: Don’t rely on the “green light” at customs. New high-density scanners flag luggage with lithium batteries and cartridges before bags hit the carousel, which can send you straight to secondary inspection.

• Penalties can include:
– On-the-spot fines typically ranging from $200–$500 USD
– Refusal to pay may result in denied entry or temporary detention
– Carrying multiple devices can be interpreted as intent to distribute, which is a federal offense

Bottom line:
Yes, you may see v**es being sold illegally at resorts or on the street — but bringing one into Mexico is a real risk. To avoid fines, delays, or a very stressful start to your vacation, it’s best to leave v**es at home.
