We offer a getaway experience for those wanting a home away from home in a little slice of our beautiful state. Are you wanting a quiet getaway perfect for families, pets, and everything in between? We are located riverside just outside of Rowlesburg, WV along the Cheat River. From almost every room in the house, you get the perfect river view with the occasional kayaker or fisherman floating by

with a friendly wave. There is an open living, kitchen, and dining area with a full shared bathroom. We have a smaller bedroom with two sets of bunk beds accommodating 4 and a master bathroom with a queen bed and full master bath. The large covered back deck can accommodate the whole family. We are still in the process of improving and adding on features to include onsite river access, outdoor shower, ect. The inside of the home has been completely remodeled from the foundation up with quartz countertops, refinished maple floors, brand new appliances, and plenty of home comforts. Although cell service is limited, we will be adding in home wifi and tvs in each room once the service enters the area in a few months. Local attractions include:

The Story of The Murphy Bed

The Person: William L. Murphy, around 1900 in San Francisco, lived in a small studio apartment.
The Dilemma: He was courting a woman (rumored to be an opera singer 🫢), but societal norms of the time wouldn't allow a lady to enter a man's bedroom.
The Solution: He designed a bed that could fold up into a closet or wall cabinet, transforming his bedroom into a respectable parlor for entertaining guests.
