There are resorts that feel trendy for a few years… and then there are icons like Half Moon.

Set on 400 acres of beachfront property in Jamaica, Half Moon is the kind of place travelers return to generation after generation because it delivers something that’s become surprisingly rare: timeless luxury that still feels warm, relaxed, and genuinely authentic. The resort blends elegant accommodations with sprawling tropical grounds, private villas, horseback riding on the beach, a world-class spa, golf course, beautiful pools, and one of the best service reputations in the Caribbean.

If your vacation style is more adults-only luxury with a cocktail in hand, Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana is one of my favorite resorts to recommend in Punta Cana.

Set along a gorgeous palm-lined beach, Secrets Royal Beach is known for its relaxed upscale atmosphere, beautiful pools that seem to wind through the entire resort, and that perfect mix of romance and fun. Guests can enjoy multiple gourmet restaurants, beachfront dining, swim-up bars, 24-hour room service, a large spa, nightly entertainment, and access to even more dining and nightlife next door at Breathless Punta Cana. The Preferred Club upgrade is especially worth considering for upgraded rooms, private lounge access, exclusive pool and beach areas, and extra elevated service.

Antigua is one of those destinations that feels more elevated, less crowded, and way more intentional than the typical Caribbean spots.

One of the things I like most about Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa is that it truly works for so many different types of travelers. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a couples trip, or a big group getaway, this resort has enough space, amenities, and variety to keep everyone happy.

Set along the coast between Montego Bay and Negril, the resort features multiple pools, a large private beach area, full spa, kids club, water park features, sports courts, nightly entertainment, and a huge selection of restaurants and bars. Guests also have access to neighboring Grand Palladium properties, which gives the resort an even bigger “vacation village” feel. The newer adults-only TRS Coral section is especially nice for travelers wanting a more elevated or quieter experience while still enjoying the larger resort amenities.

This newer all-inclusive resort in Jamaica brings a more modern, energetic vibe while still offering the upgraded feel people expect from the RIU Palace brand. Guests can enjoy multiple pools, a large water park, beachfront access, themed restaurants, 24-hour room service, entertainment throughout the day and night, and access to additional RIU amenities nearby. The rooms feel bright and updated, and the overall atmosphere leans fun and social without turning into a full-blown party resort.
