The tradition continues- Join the Fredericksburg National Cemetery as it is lit up for the 30th year to remember and honor for Memorial Day.

Tonight is the 30th annual Luminaria in the National Cemetery at Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Battlefields National Military Park.

Saturday, May 24
8pm - 11pm

📍 1013 Lafayette Blvd

During the luminaria, 15,300 candles illuminate the cemetery—each one representing a fallen soldier laid to rest there. Throughout the evening, “Taps” will be played every 30 minutes while park staff stationed around the cemetery share stories of the individuals buried.

🚗 Parking: University of Mary Washington lot at the corner of William Street and Sunken. Trolley Tours of Fredericksburg provides free shuttle service between the parking lot and the national cemetery. Accessible parking with state-issued accessible tags/plates is available at the Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center (1013 Lafayette Blvd).

Pets are not permitted in the cemetery.
