San Diego’s most beautiful building is hiding in plain sight, and it’s completely free to visit! 🌳 This is the Botanical Building at Balboa Park in San Diego. Built more than 100 years ago for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition, its historic lath structure is one of the largest of its kind in the world and houses more than 2,100 plants. 🌸 Have you ever visited this San Diego gem? 💎

Did you know that California has a national park that’s home to the hottest, driest, and lowest place in North America? 🏜️ Today, for National Park Week, we’re spotlighting Death Valley National Park. ☠️ Explore colorful badlands, towering sand dunes, narrow slot canyons, and scenic drives. 🚙 Visit Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level. 🌵 Despite its ominous name, Death Valley is home to hundreds of species adapted to this extreme desert. 🦎

Did you know California has a national park that’s home to one of the deepest canyons in North America? 😮 For the sixth day of National Park Week, we’re spotlighting Kings Canyon National Park! 🏞️ Here you can see giant sequoias, waterfalls, granite cliffs, and alpine scenery all in one park. 🌲

It’s also home to General Grant—known as the Nation’s Christmas Tree—which is the second-largest tree by volume in the world. 🌳 And don’t miss Kings Canyon Scenic Byway, one of California’s most spectacular mountain roads. 🚙

Did you know California has parks where the tallest trees on Earth grow? 🌲For the fifth day of National Park Week, we’re highlighting Redwood National and State Parks. 🏞️ Explore ancient forests, drive scenic parkways, or hike through lush Fern Canyon. 🥾

These parks protect nearly half of the world’s remaining old-growth coast redwood forests. 🌳 Keep an eye out for Roosevelt elk, one of the park's more iconic residents. 🦌
