Well, it’s not every day you have a 3 ft meteor ☄️ land in Cape Cod Bay Area on a Saturday afternoon! The consensus of the locals thought it was “thunder”. And you can see in the illustration there was complete cloud cover — making it difficult to see anything.

In preparation for weekly rentals season, the property has undergone a exterior cleaning and is currently drying. I have created a walk around video to show the 2026 update. The winter season proved to be a bit unforgiving at the beach, resulting in a log being deposited to the side of the beach path from a winter storm, which unfortunately is too heavy to relocate. For the next few weeks, the beach will be shared with a pair of piping plovers, whose nest is situated in the dune grass to the left of the path in the neighboring yard, which has been cordoned off to protect the nest. The winter storms have left the beach in a relatively good state. However, it seems that a strip of rocks in the middle of the beach will be a lasting presence for 2026. The beach still has the large sandbar below the strip of rocks. And soft sand above the rocks.
