One thing I take very seriously is making sure my clients get the BEST value possible for their trip — but value and budget are not always the same thing.

Anyone can search for the lowest price online. But did that price include taxes and resort fees? Parking? Convenient flights? A safe location? A hotel close to dining and attractions so you’re not spending extra money on transportation every day?

That’s where experience matters.
When I plan travel, I look at the entire picture — your time, comfort, schedule, and overall experience — while still respecting your budget. Sometimes the “cheapest” option can actually cost more in the long run.

Our last port day in Naples didn’t exactly go as planned — we were supposed to tour Pompeii, but ended up staying in during the morning. We then spent a few hours wandering the streets near the port and stumbled upon the incredible Castel Nuovo.

Standing there beside the waterfront, it felt like stepping back into the Middle Ages. This massive castle was first built in 1279, making it nearly 750 years old! It was originally constructed for King Charles I of Anjou when Naples became the capital of his kingdom. Over the centuries, it served as a royal palace, military fortress, and defensive stronghold protecting the harbor. Kings, soldiers, nobles, and even famous artists and writers once walked these halls.

The castle’s huge round towers, thick stone walls, and beautiful marble arch were impossible to miss. It survived wars, invasions, and centuries of changing rulers.

Whitewashed streets, blue domes, and the Aegean Sea… Mykonos felt like something out of a postcard.

Wandering the little alleyways to relaxing by the water with Greek food, this island had an energy that makes you slow down and just enjoy the moment. A great mix of history, culture, and beautiful coastal views.

The windmills overlooking the sea, colorful shops tucked into tiny streets, I can absolutely see why so many people love Mykonos.

One of the most fascinating experiences in Turkey was learning about the art of handmade Turkish rug making. Watching the women weave each rug knot by knot was incredible — some rugs can take months, and even up to a year or more, to complete depending on the size and detail.

The craftsmanship, patience, and tradition passed down through generations make each rug a true work of art. It gave us a new appreciation for these beautiful pieces.

We also enjoyed a traditional Turkish lunch, sipped Turkish coffee, and walked through local shops filled with handmade goods. The countryside surrounding the area was beautiful as well — rolling hills, farmland, and scenery that made the entire experience even more than expected.

Walking the ancient marble streets of Ephesus, Turkey was like stepping directly into the world of the Roman Empire. It’s hard to believe this city thrived over 2,000 years ago with massive theaters, temples, public baths, and advanced engineering far ahead of its time.

Standing among the ruins, you can imagine the footsteps of Roman citizens, merchants, and emperors who once filled these streets. History comes alive in Ephesus — fascinating.

Santorini cliffside views of Oia and the peaceful villages tucked into the hillsides. The island’s famous white cave houses, blue domes, and endless views of the Aegean Sea make every view perfect.

One of the most interesting things we learned was how Santorini’s grape vines are grown in low basket-like wreaths to protect them from the strong winds and dry volcanic conditions.

Between the stunning scenery, local culture, and relaxing seaside lunch, this island was unforgettable.

Standing inside the Colosseum and imagining the energy that once filled this massive arena. Gladiators entered knowing every battle could be their last, fighting not only for survival, but for honor, fame, and sometimes even freedom. Beneath the arena floor, hidden tunnels once held warriors and wild animals before they emerged before crowds over 2,000 years ago.
Exploring the nearby Roman Forum added even more perspective — this was the heart of ancient Rome, where politics, business, and daily life all came together. So much history.

Just a few steps from the Pantheon, we discovered one of Rome’s most incredible hidden gems—Sant'Ignazio Church.

Inside, the ceiling creates a 3D illusion. Lucky to have an orchestra playing while we stopped inside.

It’s amazing how art, faith, and imagination come together to create something powerful.
