If you are looking for the sweetest; easiest to ride, show, and have around the farm horse, Zara is the one you want! I cant say enough good things about this one, she gives you 110% each ride and then her favorite part afterward is to take a casual stroll around the property. In the show pen, she is very accomplished in the HUS and Halter arenas with her youth rider, and more recently she has been focusing on fine tuning the gears to be an all around horse. She has a really nice true jog and soft cadenced lope for the western classes and she strides out and locks in for the hunt seat ones floating around the pen. For the pattern classes she is very solid in the basics with a nice turn around each direction, side pass and back and with practice will continue to perfect it all and add the necessary speed. Zara is a old soul horse in a hunt seat body with a deep desire to be a western horse as she is never in a hurry. She is one you can ride with or without spurs - riders choice. She does not need to be ridden every day and does enjoy daily turnout - she does well with others who are just as low key as she is.
On the ground, she is very well started in the showmanship. She knows all of the individual maneuvers well and is continuing to work on putting them all together in one flawless pattern run. She also is very hard to beat in the performance halter pen, she is always in the top 3 at the larger AQHA shows - easy points to put towards that weekend high point award! She is also one of the easiest horses to clip, bathe, and trailer. She settles into new places without batting an eye - she is a very self confident horse. She stands perfect for the farrier, making their job easy. She is currently wearing plain-Jane front shoes, nothing special required. Being apart of a show string, she is on daily regumate and does not require any maintenance. No vices. If you love the tall and pretty ones with a low key motor, definitely check out her video! I am seeing her perfect fit with someone who is a DIY Ammy to enjoy keeping at home, or a youth/ammy rider looking for their step-up/competitive forever horse under trainer guidance to help continue to finish her in all the classes.
